Bachelor of Arts, Political Science & Sociology

When I began my bachelor’s degree, I was considering law school; naturally, I majored in Political Science to better prepare myself for the written and verbal rigors of law school. I minored in Sociology because behavioral sciences was always an interest of mine. During summers, I split my time between working in exterior construction and interning at the Sussex County Superior Court, where I had the unique opportunity of clerking for a criminal court judge. Although an incredible experience, I decided to reconsider going to law school.

Since I decided to pass on law school, I chose to broaden my knowledge and focus my major toward international economic policy and economic development for less developed countries. This included course work in economics and international political economy; additionally, I interned at an established investment bank on Park Avenue, New York City. I graduated from college cum laude in May 2007 and was hired by Thomson Financial (now Thomson Reuters) in June to work in mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
