Master of Business Administration

After working in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) at Thomson Reuters for two and a half years in both Times Square and the Financial District of New York City, I decided to pursue my MBA full-time. However, I desired a change in pace from the hustle and bustle of Times Square, New York City; therefore, I decided to choose a school in the southern states. Additionally, I wanted to differentiate myself by earning an MBA with an emphasis in Real Estate, and not typical finance. Clemson was the perfect fit. It also did not hurt that Clemson has a highly competitive Division 1 football team; my undergraduate college did not participate in the sport.

While earning my MBA at Clemson, I immediately became involved in student government and was elected Vice President of Finance. In this leadership role, I organized many fundraising events for both Clemson and very worthy charities, such as the Special Olympics. Furthermore, I participated in all the guest speaker events, discussions, and activities, fully immersing myself in the full-time MBA experience.

I experienced firsthand why Clemson’s graduate real estate programs are considered top-notch. The professors are extremely experienced in their fields with many years of industry experience and their connections allow them to offer intriguing guest speakers. Furthermore, their real-world case studies provoked students to think critically and analyze quantitatively. After graduating with a 3.73 GPA, I was hired by Level 3 Communication at their headquarters outside of Denver, Colorado, to work in their strategic finance group.
